Amazing Cebu City Timelapse by Garyl Paras

Timelapse videos are a technique used to compress time by reducing the number of frames per second (fps). The standard video frame rate is 30fps or 60fps. On the other hand, Timelapse shoots video at a significantly lower frame rate that speeds up and reduces the length of the video. This technique produces stunning results and is often used to compress hours and days in a few seconds. Timelapse photography needs patience and discipline to deliver quality results. Unintentional movements, exposure variations, and focus can ruin the final output.

I found a timelapse video on YouTube by Garyl Paras, which highlighted the landmarks of Cebu City. He has some fascinating timelapse videos of the beautiful places that Cebu has to offer. What makes his work stand out from the typical timelapse videos is the techniques he uses in his timelapse videos. Unlike most timelapse videos captured at a stationary position, Garyl Paras moves the camera's vantage point around, thus enhancing the footage. Some of the techniques he used in his videos are 360-degree motion, subject tracking, panning, and zoom shots. He also has timelapse videos that transition from a day scene to a night scene.

After watching the videos of Garyl Paras, I can't help but admire his work. It takes a great deal of patience and creativity to produce beautiful results. His videos have made me appreciate even more the beauty of the city of Cebu. I hope to see more videos of the other gorgeous new places in Cebu.
