Glass House

Every culture has their limits when it comes to the privacy of their home. In some places people don't rely on fence to secure their home and privacy from prying eyes. In other areas people put up tall concrete walls which are sometime even taller than the house. A lot of circumstances are considered which determines how open people are with their homes.

In my country most people usually put up fences around their houses to prevent others from entering the premises of their home. It also serves as a way for them to prevent others from seeing what happens inside the premises. Since the majority of the homes here have small lots, almost all homes maximize the lot for their home which in turn lessens the easement between the house and the road.

I always wanted to live in a house which has a lot of glass. I've made a lot of conceptual designs but most of these designs are too expensive and are inapplicable here in the Philippines. Asides from security, you'll need to have a large lot in order to keep your privacy from your neighbors.

Incredible animation of Superman Vs Hulk

A while ago I was browsing Youtube for a trailer of the new superman movie. I bumped into an animation created by mhabjan. I watched the entire animation, and I was very impressed by its quality. 

I assumed the animation was done by a team of 3d artists. It was only when I read the description that I discovered that mhabjan was the only one working on this project. This has made it even more impressive.

It took him about eight months to finish the animation. It must have taken him a great deal of patience to accomplish this feat.

Extreme Cantilever Homes

Every time I see an extreme home I always wonder why architects go out of their way to achieve these feats. It must have taken guts on the part of the client to go with the daring designs of the architect. I usually get inspired looking through their designs.

Lately I've been fascinated with houses designed to have extreme cantilevers. I've browsed through a lot of houses with extreme cantilevers and each one of these have their own approach on solving the long spans of their cantilever.

Pleasing Visit to the Dentist.

Yesterday I had to visit the dental clinic to have my teeth cleaned. I avoid these visits since all I could focus on was the blank ceiling and the drilling sound of grinding my teeth.  Even after several hours, the thought of the noise of the drill remains in my mind.

After that long thirty minutes, I decided to look for other dental clinics that offered a better experience. While searching for other dental clinics, I stumbled upon numerous dental clinics that were both unique and interesting. The only problem was all these clinics were nowhere near where I live.

Decent shelter is a major problem here in the Philippines. Due to poverty a lot of families here have little access to a decent home. I've always wondered if there was a way to provide decent shelter at a minimal cost.

I've found a lot of ideas from the works of different architects.  Although designed by foreign architects, their designs are ideal for the shelter problem here in my country. Mobile homes or trailers are also a good inspiration to maximize space. These mobile homes are limited to the size of the roads.
